Original Venus Flytrap! (Dionaea muscipula) 3.5” Potted Plant

Original Venus Flytrap! (Dionaea muscipula) 3.5” Potted Plant

Venus flytraps are one of the most well-known carnivorous plants worldwide. This carnivorous plant is native to the subtropical wetlands here in the east coast of the United States, specifically North and South Carolina. It catches prey with a trapping scruffier formed by the terminal portion of each of the plants' leaves, which is triggered by tiny hairs which line the inner surface. All Venus flytraps require a winter dormancy, during which their growth will slow down considerably, but getting proper dormancy can help the plants grow back even stronger when it comes out of dormancy.
